Nicola joined the classes last year in the beginners classes wanting to develop more stability around her hips and pelvis and to strengthen her legs, particularly her ankles which she felt were weak. Physiotherapy had helped but Nicola wanted to find a weekly class to help herself.
Francesca came to the classes having seen various healthcare professionals in relation to pain in her back and her knees, while the treatments were helpful, progress stalled after a while. Francesca wanted to start something to help herself where she could strengthen her core muscles (internal stability muscles), her back and knees in a weekly class.
When Max was first in touch he found the activities he enjoyed like climbing, cycling and going to the gym difficult feeling restricted movement around his joints particularly his hip. At times these activities would be painful due to fibromyalgia and hypermobility syndrome. Max wanted to get stronger so he could enjoy his activities without being concerned about feeling pain during and after the activity.
Derek came to the classes with a frozen shoulder that had been improving but again had stalled in treatments. He had very poor back mobility generally in extension, flexion, side flexion and rotation. The beginners classes were a must to take things slowly and build up as I didnʼt want Derek to suffer any strains or sprains through the classes and have any setbacks.
